About the list

The list is Annex II of Directive 2002/46/EC as it applies in Great Britain, used by the Food Supplements Regulations 2003. A form that isn't on the list can't be used as a source of that vitamin or mineral in a food supplement, even if it's sold elsewhere. Some ingredients also need novel food authorisation.

Our full check and our free label drafting tool both check every source against this list.
