1. Who we are

ProofMyLabel is run by Martin Colman, a sole trader trading as MJC, at 4th Floor, Silverstream House, 45 Fitzroy Street, London W1T 6EB, United Kingdom. You can contact us at [email protected] or on +44 1934 912059. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean MJC, and “you” means the business or person using ProofMyLabel.

2. What ProofMyLabel does

ProofMyLabel checks food supplement packaging artwork against GB food labelling rules and gives you a report before you print. It covers printed packaging for food supplements sold in Great Britain, including labels, pouches, sachets, cartons and tubs.

3. What it is not

Every check is an automated pre-check, made with software and AI. It is not regulatory sign-off, legal advice, or approval by any authority, and we do not certify that your packaging is compliant.

As the food business operator, you remain responsible for your packaging and for what you sell. Reports can miss issues or flag things that are not issues. Review every finding yourself, and get professional advice where the stakes are high.

ProofMyLabel does not check Northern Ireland, EU or other markets, and it does not check claims evidence, product formulation, or the accuracy of information you give us.

4. Your account

You sign in with a link sent to your email address. Keep access to that inbox secure, because anyone who can open it can use your account. You must be at least 18 and using ProofMyLabel for a business.

5. Packs, checks and re-checks

• A pack gives you 5 checks. Checks never expire.
• Each check covers one piece of packaging and includes one free re-check of the same packaging after you change it.
• Changing to different packaging, a different product, or a different variant counts as a new check.
• Before a re-check, we ask whether it is a re-check or a new check. We may treat it as a new check if the packaging is clearly different.
• A check that fails because of a fault on our side is put back on your balance.

6. Prices and payment

A pack of 5 checks costs £49.99. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added. If we become VAT registered, the price will include VAT. Partner customers with a valid code pay £24.99 per pack for as long as they have an account. Payments are taken by Stripe.

7. Auto top-up

Auto top-up is on by default. When your checks run out and you start a new check, we charge the card you last paid with for another pack at your current price, add 5 checks, and start the check. Stripe emails you a receipt for every charge.

You can switch auto top-up off at any time in your account, and it stops before your next charge. If a top-up payment fails, we ask you to buy a pack instead. We never charge your card at any other time.

8. Refunds and cancellation

You can ask for a refund of a pack within 14 days of buying it if you have not used any of its checks. Email [email protected]. Used checks are not refundable, except where the law says otherwise.

You can close your account at any time by emailing us. Unused checks are not refunded after 14 days. We may suspend or close an account that misuses the service, and we will refund unused checks unless the misuse was serious.

9. Your artwork

You keep all rights in the artwork and text you upload. You give us permission to store and process it only to run your checks, keep your check history, and recognise re-checks. We do not use your artwork to train AI models, and we do not share it except with the service providers listed in our privacy policy.

Only upload artwork you have the right to use. Do not upload anything unlawful or anything unrelated to food supplement packaging.

10. Our responsibility to you

We will run the service with reasonable care and skill. Because every report is an automated pre-check, we are not responsible for decisions you make based on it, including printing, recalls, reprints, enforcement action or lost sales.

Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses, or for loss of profit, revenue, stock or packaging. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

The service may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will email you about any change that affects you, at least 14 days before it applies. If you do not agree, you can close your account and get a refund of any unused checks.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales deal with any dispute.
