Dual-market UK and US supplement labels
Many brands print one label for both Great Britain and the US, with a GB declaration and a US Supplement Facts panel. That can work in GB, provided the US panel is treated as extra information that doesn't confuse or get in the way.

Is it allowed?
GB law allows voluntary information on a label as long as it isn't misleading, ambiguous or confusing (1169/2011 Art 36 and Art 7), and it doesn't hide or interrupt the mandatory information (Art 13). A US panel falls into that category. The GB requirements must still be met in full.
How to make it work
- Label it clearly. Head the panel “USA” or “US: Supplement Facts” so GB shoppers know it isn't for them, and keep it visually separate from the GB declaration.
- Keep the numbers consistent. Amounts per serving should agree with the GB amounts per daily dose, with no conflicting serving sizes or directions.
- Don't squeeze the GB text. The GB mandatory particulars still need their minimum x-height of 1.2 mm, or 0.9 mm on small packs.
- Watch the claims. US structure-function claims and the FDA disclaimer are not authorised GB health claims. If they appear near health wording on a GB label, they can make it non-compliant.
- Remove GB irrelevancies. Energy reference intake footnotes don't belong on supplements that declare no energy.
What we check
Choose “Great Britain and the US” when you start a check. We then check the US panel against the points above instead of telling you to remove it. We check GB requirements only, so have the US side reviewed against FDA rules separately.
